Slow Cooker 3-Bean Turkey Chili

Ingredients

20 oz ground turkey breast, fat-free
1 small onion, chopped
28 oz diced tomatoes, can, drained
16 oz tomato sauce, can
4 ½ oz green chilies, can, chopped
15 oz chickpeas, can, drained
15 ½ oz red kidney beans, can, chopped
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
Topping
½ medium red onion, chopped
½ cup cilantro, fresh, chopped

Instructions

  1. Brown turkey and onion in a medium skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through. Transfer to the slow cooker with the beans, chilies, chickpeas, tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder and cumin, mixing well.
  2. Cook on high 6 to 8 hours (or low 10 to 12 hours).
  3. Garnish with onions, cilantro and your favourite toppings.
