Ingredients
20 oz | ground turkey breast, fat-free |
1 small | onion, chopped |
28 oz | diced tomatoes, can, drained |
16 oz | tomato sauce, can |
4 ½ oz | green chilies, can, chopped |
15 oz | chickpeas, can, drained |
15 ½ oz | red kidney beans, can, chopped |
2 tsp | chili powder |
1 tsp | ground cumin |
Topping | |

½ medium | red onion, chopped |
½ cup | cilantro, fresh, chopped |
Instructions
- Brown turkey and onion in a medium skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through. Transfer to the slow cooker with the beans, chilies, chickpeas, tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder and cumin, mixing well.
- Cook on high 6 to 8 hours (or low 10 to 12 hours).
- Garnish with onions, cilantro and your favourite toppings.
