[5 SP per Serving] This is a Ukrainian dish traditionally served on Christmas-Eve. But I love this dish so much, I often will make it at any time through the year. It makes a fantastic breakfast. This recipe is a slightly healthier take on my Baba's recipe
(which included extra white sugar).

Instructions
- Rinse the wheat, then cover with water in a slow cooker. Make sure to add a lot of water as the wheat will soak it up.
- Cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or until the kernels start to burst open.
- Drain and rinse the kernels, then add more hot water, the poppyseeds, the honey and the walnuts. Cook until you reduce the broth to a porridge like consistency.
- Serve hot.
