Ingredients
1 lb | beef, 95% lean |
1½ tsp | kosher salt |
½ cup | onions, diced |
½ cup | celery, diced |
½ cup | carrots, diced |
28 oz | crushed tomatoes, no salt added, 1 can |
5 cups | green cabbage, shredded |
4 cups | beef stock, canned |
2 leaves | bay leaf |
Instructions
- Sauté the beef and salt, cooking until browned, breaking the meat up into small peices as it cooks, 3 to 4 min.
- When browned, add the onion, celery and carrots and saute 4 to 5 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes, cabbage, beef stock and bay leaves.
- Cook covered low 40 minutes.
